Captain Ray Rosher
Host / Captain of the Miss Costa

Ray is a second generation native of Miami. His father and grandfather shared with him the love of fishing. That helped launch his career as a professional crewman at the age of 16. He has fished as a full time fishing guide in South Florida and abroad for almost 30 years. While fishing in sailfish, marlin and swordfish tournaments in South Florida, Bahamas and Central America, he has 25 first place finishes and 5 series titles.

He currently owns and is one of several captains operating his two charter boats, both named Miss Britt out of Coconut Grove in Miami. Alex Castellanos and Rob Ramirez helped Ray launch that charter business. His wife Charmain is also one of his tournament crewman as well as his partner in R and R Tackle. He has three children, Brittany who is 17, son Dakota who is 2 and daughter Cheyenne who is 1.

This season Ray, Charmain Alex, Rob and angler Bill Danko are fishing together aboard the 54' Viking, Miss Costa, which was campaigned by HMY Yachts, Viking and Costa Del Mar while filming Sportsman's Tournament Adventures with Capt. Rick Murphy.

Dr. Bill Danko
Angler

Bill is an ER doctor residing in Cincinnati who now owns and operates urgent care centers in Ohio. Bill lives with his wife Stephanie, his 3 daughters and son Bo.

Bill has fished over 100 tournaments in the last 8 years, predominantly sailfish tournaments in south Florida. Over the last four years Bill has enjoyed the angling spotlight fishing with the highly talented Miss Britt crew out of coconut grove, FL. Bill and the Miss Britt crew enjoyed great success, winning first place 5 times and numerous 2nd and third place finishes. In 2007, with the guidance of the Miss Britt crew, Bill was crowned champion angler of the highly competitive World Billfish Series southeast region.

In 2008, Bill and two of the Miss Britt crew, Alex Castellans and Rob Ramirez, were asked to join Rick Murphy and Ray Rosher aboard the Miss Costa to produce a reality tournament TV show named Sportsman's Tournament Adventures.

Rob Ramirez
Mate

Robbie Ramirez is a full time mate on the charter boat the Miss Britt. He's currently thirty years old and has been fishing for most of his life. Since the early age of twelve, his grandfather took him under his wing and introduced him to fishing, and he's been hooked ever since. In 2000, he had the honor and pleasure of fishing side by side with Ray and Alex on the Miss Britt as both a full-time charter boat mate and a full time tournament mate. Throughout the years this working relationship has turned into a great friendship; he would say family, and couldn't imagine himself being part of any other team. He always has a great time fishing together with Ray and Alex, and he looks forward to every day they spend on the water.

This past tournament season they were very fortunate to fish the trail on a brand new 54' Viking. "It was an unforgettable season," says Robbie. "I would personally like to thank everyone at Viking for giving us the opportunity of fishing on one of the fastest and best equipped sport fishing yachts on the market. We will be waiting anxiously for next season!"

Alex Castellanas
Mate

Alex Castellanos is 27 years old and was born and raised in Miami, Florida. As a child, he had a true passion for fishing and the outdoors. He grew up fishing in bays and local canals with his father, and never really ventured offshore. Before he realized it, he was 17 years old and a senior in high school. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do after graduation, so he began working as a security guard in Matheson Hammocks Park. It was there that he met Ray Rosher.

In 1999, he began helping Ray complete the construction of the Miss Britt. Working with Ray allowed him to gain the knowledge and experience he needed for the job. By the age of 19, he had earned his Captain's license and began running the boat with mate Rob Ramirez. Not only did they work together, but they created a special bond and friendship that continues to this day aboard both of the Miss Britt, and now aboard the Miss Costa. Over the years as a Captain, he's had an incredible opportunity to work with an amazing team of people. The team has had a great deal of success, and they continue to grow and learn as a whole.

Charmain Rosher
Mate

Charmain Rosher is a Florida native and Miami lawyer who traded in the courtroom for the cockpit after practicing law since 1991. In the past 6 years, she has worked for Ray as a mate in over 50 sailfish, swordfish and marlin tournaments.

During this time, they celebrated 10 First Place wins, 4 series titles and numerous 2nd and 3rd Place finishes together. Her biggest highlight, however, was the arrival of their son, Dakota, now almost 3, and their daughter, Cheyenne, 1, into the world.

Charmain joined crewmen, Alex Castellanos and Rob Ramirez, in the 2007/2008 season aboard the Miss Costa. Charmain and Ray are partners in Miss Britt fishing charters and R & R Tackle in Miami.
